Trong buổi lễ Ông Trương Công Sứ, thay mặt Hội người Việt
Nam phát biểu cám ơn chư tăng đã giúp đỡ bà con trong những năm qua cũng như lễ
hội vu lan này, giúp bà con ý thức được tinh thần Tri ân báo ân, nhớ về cội nguồn. Các hội đoàn thể, cùng các đạo tràng
các vùng lân cận khác
như chùa Giác Minh, Chùa Giác Tâm, đã gửi hoa đến chúc mừng đại lễ được thành công tốt đẹp.
Đến phần đạo từ của chư tôn Đức chứng minh, TT Thích Đồng Trí đã chia sẻ buổi pháp thoại về công ơn sinh dưỡng của cha mẹ dành cho con cái, đồng thời TT đã chia sẻ những nỗi lòng câu chuyện về tấm gương báo đáp, đền ơn sinh dưỡng của chính TT để đại chúng cùng nghe và nương theo hạnh hiếu của TT
Đây là Lễ hội lớn tại chùa Giác Nguyện, Ban Tổ chức phải dựng rạp bên ngoài để tổ chức. Sau pháp thoại của Thầy, chương trình được tiếp diễn với phần Bông hồng cài áo và nghi thức trì tụng Vu Lan. Lễ cài hoa hồng được xem là một phần nghi thức quan trọng, bởi lẽ đã trở thành một truyền thống tốt đẹp, khơi gợi tình mẫu tử thiêng liêng khi được cài lên ngực những đóa hồng tươi thắm trong ngày Vu lan báo hiếu.
Buổi lễ được khép lại với lời cảm tạ của PT. Diệu Nhàn, bày tỏ lòng tri ân sâu sắc đến chư tôn đức, khách quí và cộng đồng bà con Phật tử gần xa đã góp phần tổ chức thành công Đại lễ.
