Bỏ nhà, ba vội vã ra đi

Để mẹ, con trong niềm thương nhớ

Nước mắt thành dòng lũ chia li.

Nước đổ, gió lùa, não nùng ghê

Hai con còn nhỏ, mẹ yếu lắm

Căn nhà hiu hắt, gió lạnh tê.

Ba ơi, chiều nay, có biết không?

Lũ về vây kín nỗi nhớ mong

Đứa em, mẹ còn mang giọt máu

Chẳng thấy mặt ba phút lọt lòng.

Trên bờ con khóc thương ba lắm

Dòng sông có lạnh, ba hãy về

Cửa nhà vẫn mở chờ ba đến

Thăm vợ con mình, giữa cơn mê.
